Story-line 1: Fox Mulder wants to retrieve the last recording of his sister and other key secret documents from a scientist who worked with his father. But the scientist wants a one-night stand with Scully before he hands over the taped conversation and secrets. Mulder is torn between his obsession with his sister and his new love for Scully.
Story-line 2: Scully and Mulder join a right-wing, elitist cult as a willing couple to help with inter-species breeding experiments with a dying extra-terrestrial being. The group wants to create a race of super-humans that would dominate the world – a master race from outer space. They are about to bring down the group until they learn that a key U.S. senator who strongly supports the X-Files is a silent member of the cult. Scully and Mulder are in turmoil over whether to expose the senator.
Story-line 3: A CEO of a major Wall Street firms agrees to an undercover operation in which Mulder and Scully try to sort out the secrets of a chief investment officer who uses Astrology and the occult combined with typical trading strategies to deliver phenomenal results. Mulder is fascinated by the investment officer’s methods as Scully uncovers troubling clues that the investment officer is going to ask for a human sacrifice to help the firm score its biggest market victory to date.
