Stranger pays woman’s grocery bill, dies in car crash hours later Video at http://bcove.me/ha3iso5f SAN DIEGO — A San Diego woman is working to honor a stranger’s memory after he died hours after paying for her groceries and asking her to “pay it forward.” KNSD-TV reports that 28-year-old Matthew Jackson, of Oceanside, was killed in a crash on Nov. 11 , the same day he met Jamie-Lynne Knighten. Knighten was ahead of Jackson at a grocery cash register with her crying infant when her card was declined. Jackson offered to foot the more than $200 bill, asking that she help someone else in return. Knighten called his employer to praise Jackson, only to find he had died. She says she is working to further honor the man’s legacy and is encouraging others to pay it forward. What Are the Rewards of Forgiveness? The Spiritualist Church of NYC will be holding a message service on Sunday, Nov. 8 at 6 pm, conducted by Rev. Stephanie Wild and Rev. Paul Beaudet. Rev. Nilsa Ocasio will join Rev. Beaudet during the message-giving portion of the service. In addition, Rev. Wild will present a talk, “The Rewards of Forgiveness,” that will attempt to answer the questions of what forgiveness is, why it is important to spiritual growth, and how it can be achieved. SCNYC Conducts Healing Service Sun., Oct. 11 Release old habits and make room for change at a Healing Service of the Spiritualist Church of New York City (SCNYC) this Sunday, Oct. 11, at 6 PM at the New Church at 35 th & Park. The service, co-conducted by Rev. Susan West and Rev. Nilsa Ocasio, will feature a group of wonderful energy healers and unique “chair healings” during the meditation. Also, at this service, Rev. West will deliver an inspirational talk, “Autumn: Reflection, Change and Renewal.” Remember, healing is not just physical; it is spiritual, psychological, situational, and may deal with love, finances, family and others who can benefit from the energy we manifest.
